Rowan Murray is precise. He has to be — his kitchen at RED the Steakhouse is one of the most technically demanding in Cleveland. But the culinary philosophy that guides him was built somewhere else: in a culture where food carries heat and history in equal measure, where bold spice is an act of identity, not decoration.
The Flame is not a spinoff of the steakhouse, but is something different entirely. Chef Rowan Murray is bringing his Jamaican heritage to the table — the flavors and techniques that were passed down before he had a professional knife in his hand. What he was raised on, and what that has made him as a cook.
All courses are served family-style — dishes are passed and shared at the communal table.
