Deep Roots is a dinner about inheritance. About the food that was made before you and taught to you and carried with you, no matter how far from home you go.
Chef Jorge Hernandez has spent his career making authentic Mexican cooking accessible to Cleveland's West Side. For this dinner, he goes deeper — into the family recipes and culinary traditions that shaped him before he ever had a professional kitchen. The setting is Frohring Meadows in Bainbridge, Geauga County: an open meadow with a lodge, golden summer light, and enough space for a long table and a long evening.
All courses are served family-style — dishes are passed and shared at the communal table.
